How concrete cost is calculated
The cost starts from the same volume the concrete calculator produces, so the quantity you are charged for is the quantity you would order — waste and the quarter-yard step included, not quietly dropped.
Ready-mix and bags are priced differently and the calculator keeps them apart: ready-mix takes a price per yard plus any delivery and short-load fees, bags take a price per bag against the product's own yield.
Overhead, markup, discount and tax are separate lines rather than a single multiplier. A total you cannot take apart is a total you cannot check against a quote, and the order they apply in changes the answer.
