1. Who runs this site

ContractorBuilds is run by an individual, not a company. Questions about your data: hello@contractorbuilds.com.

2. What this site does, and does not do

ContractorBuilds is a statically generated site. The calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to us or to anyone else — not the dimensions, not the results, not the text of any field. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no contact form and no advertising.

3. What we measure, and what we never measure

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which calculators are used, so we know what to build next. It records the page you are on, whether you interacted with a calculator and whether the result was valid — never the values. Advertising features, Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Google Analytics never receives the values you enter into a calculator.

4. Your choice, and what happens before you make it

Where consent is required (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), analytics storage stays switched off until you choose. Until then, Google Analytics may receive cookieless measurement pings. If you accept, measurement continues under a stored identifier; if you decline, nothing is stored. Elsewhere, measurement runs by default and you can decline at any time. In every case the sentence in section 3 holds.

Your choice is saved on your device (browser local storage, first-party, for 12 months) so you are not asked again; it is not sent to us. You can change it at any time from the Privacy link in the consent bar or in the footer of every page.

5. Cookies and local storage

• Your consent choice — local storage, first-party, 12 months, set only when you choose.
• Google Analytics cookies (_ga and related) — set only after you accept where consent is required, or by default elsewhere; none is set if you decline.
• An internal testing marker (session storage) is set only when our own test tools open a page, to keep those visits out of the measurements; it is never set for visitors.

No other cookies or storage are used. Nothing you enter into a calculator is stored anywhere.

6. Performance measurement

Vercel Speed Insights collects page-performance timings (loading and responsiveness) from real visits, served from this site's own domain; it carries no identifier of ours and no calculator values, and its figures are used only in aggregate.

7. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. As the host, Vercel processes the technical data your browser sends with each request (such as IP address, browser and device information, the page requested, referrer and time) to deliver and protect the site, and keeps request logs for its own operational period. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

8. Availability monitoring

Better Stack checks from outside that the site is up. Those checks touch the site, not visitors; no visitor data is involved.

9. Services we use

Google (analytics), Vercel (hosting and performance measurement) and Better Stack (availability checks) process data for us as described above. None of them receives calculator values.
